Unovans Be Like refers to a series of animations based off a Scottish Pokémon Trainer image macro in which she says "Unovans be like, 'It's Chewsday, innit?' Ya, I'll 'chew' ya arms off ye daft cunt." The image macro was read by Twitter @_R0ACH_, which provided the audio for future animations.

Origin

On September 19th, 2020, Twitter user @TheCappuccino04[1] posted an image macro of Gloria from Pokémon Sword and Shield plushie saying the line, gaining over 30 retweets and 190 likes (shown below).

On September 29th, Twitter user @_R0ACH_ posted a dubbed version of the image macro, gaining over 3,300 retweets and 11,000 likes (shown below).



Spread

The first animation based on the reading appeared on Newgrounds[2] on October 4th, 2020, made by user chromedome113. Two months later, on December 8th, 2020, YouTuber Pear哥 posted an animation of the audio that gained over 1.4 million views in a week (shown below).



The animation inspired multiple parodies and variations. The same day of Pear's upload, YouTuber QwetZero posted a parody in which Gloria speaks German, gaining over 31,000 views (shown below, left). User Nachodip posted a video featuring multiple variations on December 11th, gaining over 1,800 views (shown below, right).
