Us Bhai Us, also known as Us Moment refers to a catchphrase popular in Indian meme circles, and is used in a manner similar to "he's literally me." The phrase began to make the rounds on memes and comment sections of images that feature forever alone or literally me type memes in 2021, quickly becoming a semi-ironic phrase used to refer to doomers and doomer-posting.
The phrase "us bhai, us" or "us moment" was popularised in colloquial Indian teen culture around 2020, appearing in various tweets and comment sections over the pandemic, with "bhai" meaning bro or brother.
On March 8th, 2021, Instagram page @whatameme1 reposted a May 7th, 2021 tweet by Twitter user @mohsinnnmk that read, "Larki wale: hamay larka psand nai aiya sorry / Ghar wale: Us moment," which translates to, "Girl's Family: We don't like the boy sorry / "Boy's Side: Us moment." The tweet gathered over 200 likes and the Instagram post gathered over 4,000 likes in over a year (seen below, left). On October 1st, 2021, Instagram page @theasiftheshaikh posted a meme featuring Eoin Morgan, an Irish-American cricket player, and gathered over 500 likes in over a year (seen below, right).
On December 20th 2021, Instagram page @ashleelgyan_ posted a meme that said every groupchat has the people who says "us bhai us" all the time. The post gathered over 3,500 views in over a year (seen below),
The phrases "us moment" and "us bhai us" continued to popularize in the year 2022, with Instagram page @pracheenvibes posting a meme that used the phrase "us moment," gathering over 13,000 likes in a year (seen below).
