About

Vin Diesel's "Feel Like I Do" is actor Vin Diesel's debut single. The track debuted on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where a clip of a virtual audience dancing to it went viral on Twitter. Since then, it has divided social media, with some mocking Diesel's performance while others felt it was a genuinely good song.

Origin

On September 24th, 2020, actor Vin Diesel debuted his debut single, "Feel Like I Do," on The Kelly Clarkson Show. The track is produced by Kygo and released on Kygo's label, Palm Tree Records.[1]

Spread

The clip began going viral after Twitter user @JoshKurp tweeted a clip of Kelly Clarkson's audience, which was displayed on screens as they couldn't attend the show due to the COVID-19, appeared to be "awkwardly" dancing to the track. The tweet gained over 8,300 retweets, 4,400 quote tweets, and 46,000 likes, and the video gained over 3.8 million views (shown below).

This set off a wave of criticism for Diesel, amusement at the video, and people appearing to ironically enjoy the song. Twitter user @korndiddy[2] joked, "Even in our darkest days we found hope," gaining over 140 retweets and 3,200 likes (shown below, left). User @qhnnnl[3] tweeted, "why is vin diesel so bad at music?" (shown below, right).
