About
Charlie Kirk Face Swaps, also known as Kirkified Memes, Kirkification or Kirkify Memes, refers to a Photoshop and AI edit trend of face-swapping deceased right-wing political pundit Charlie Kirk's likeness onto different memes and reaction images as an exploitable element. The trend started on Twitter / X with a face swap of Kirk on the IShowSpeed Smiling Trying Not to Laugh clip in late September 2025, following Kirk's death earlier that month. Kirkified Memes spread to TikTok comment sections heading into October 2025, where the term "Kirkification" was coined. In November 2025, a series of memes making fun of Junko Furuta went viral as a retaliation to Kirkification memes, looking to point out hypocrisy in those who share Kirkified memes.

Junko Furata Retaliation Memes
Junko Furuta Charlie Kirk Retaliation Memes refers to a series of ragebait memes that make fun of Junko Furuta, a Japanese teen who was tortured and murdered in the 1980s, largely as a response to people who post memes making fun of Charlie Kirk's death with the Kirkification memes. The memes are meant to enrage people who make Kirk memes and expose their hypocrisy over being unable to laugh at Furuta's death. The trend began as early as November 5th, 2025 and became increasingly popular on sites like X / Twitter and TikTok over the following weeks, resulting in numerous memes and discussions online. Some argued that Furuta's death is not equal to Kirk's due to her age and the manner in which she was tortured to death, while others claimed that the memes expose hypocrisy in people who see no issue with Kirkificaiton, mostly painted as being liberals.
