Vincent Ambrosio was a 19 year old man caught by Chris Hansen on the "To Catch a Predator" reboot "Hansen vs. Predator". Ambrosio was under the impression he was meeting a 12 year old girl but was talking to a law enforcement official posing as a minor. During these chats, Ambrosio made explicit sexual comments and sent her photographs of his penis. Ambrosio drove 65 miles from his home in New York to a bait house in Fairfield, Connecticut with the apparent intent of having sex with a minor.

Ambrosio enjoys dressing like a cowboy despite living in New York. He's very aware of the fact that it makes him look weird and he moans about it during his tear filled interview with Chris Hansen.

The HvP episode featuring Ambrosio was originally pulled from Crime Watch Daily's release schedule due to fears he may harm himself (a predator committing suicide was a major reason in To Catch a Predator's cancellation) but the segment leaked onto the internet. Once online Ambrosio was the immediate subject of ridicule on 4chan's /tv/ board. Users were quick to begin incorporating him into their artwork.

Aftermath

Immediately following the interview, Ambrosio was arrested, booked, and interviewed by local law enforcement. He was charged and convicted with attempt to entice a minor through a computer, attempted 2nd degree sexual assault of a minor, and possession of child pornography.

He served 30 months of a 10 year suspended prison sentence.
