The 3 images were originally posted on Imgur and Reddit with the caption 'Wanted a nice picture of my cat, got this instead' on the 31st of December 2013. It went viral overnight and now the original album post on imgur has over 60 000 views, with the r/cats post sitting on 2753 points.
Spread
Responses from reddit included photoshops of the cat in the strutting leo meme and many doge/cate references. It currently has more than 50 000 notes on tumblr[1] and over 20 000 points on 9gag[2].
