On March 29th 2015, this meme rose to infamy when Vine user sturfur posted the infamous clip of Emmett saying "Whoops, my anarchy symbol". However, the original user who posted it was Felix the poop cat on February 21st, 2015. It soon gained popularity with multiple Tumblr users drawing their characters saying the phrase.
The clip in question was taken from an early episode (most possibly the first one, seeing as the anarchy symbol bears the number "1") of "The Awful Truth About Society";[1] which is a public access TV show that airs on Missoula Community Access Television (MCAT Channel 189) that stars Emmett K. the Punk Rocker, previously known as Rabid the Dog Punk.
