Random Clips.

Justin | MySpace Video

A small-scale video maker, known only as "Justin" on MySpace, has been posting videos on his profile for his and others' entertainment for as long as he has been a member of MySpace. One of his videos- titled "Random Clips."- added on May 13, 2007 to MySpace- is possibly one of the most random, in-understandable, inside-joke-filled, legitimacy-filled videos on all of MySpace video in the eyes of him and his friends, along with some of his snickering fans. The people in the video behave rather weirdly, stupidly, confused, and easily amused. All of these characteristics resemble those of an internet troll's.

Immediately into the beginning of the film, a young, all-black dressed male with bright red hair steps into a room, and picks up a lighter. He flicks it, attempting to light it, and without success in lighting it, he looks up for a brief second, smiles, and screams at the top of his lungs, "Why is this here?!", whilst doing so he thrusts the lighter at the ground with nearly all of his strength.

The video is begging for knock-offs and spoofs, recorded, illustrated, or even for giggles and cheap inside-joke laughs- encouraging people in real life to get up and go try these stupid things- but secretly, whilst being unnoticed.

The second time the boy appears on the screen, he appears to be in a parking lot, this time in wearing a black hoodie. He is holding another (Or possibly the unbroken same) lighter. He flicks it a few times, looks up for a moment in disappointment, and looks to the camera, saying "Dude, you guys gotta be kidding me.", quickly shouting "Why is this here?!" before slamming it into the pavement, making it explode. The ending segment of the clip is played again in slow motion before the rest of the movie continues, insisting on the severity of the missing information on the fact of why the lighter was there, and it has of since been obliterated.

Following these scenes are more random, stupid clips, with a few more "Why is this here?!" clips. The formula they used in creating this video- their attempt and effort put into and at making a hilarious video- is highly unappreciated and unaccredited, due to the fact that the video has only over 300 views.

In the comments section, one of Justin's friends, who's MySpace name is Kove, posted on May 13, 2007 10:42 PM: "first and possibly only comment! this is only a preview of our video, and it rocks!"
Analysis of this comment reveals that there might be another video- but, being that this was posted nearly 3 years ago, this could be false, for there is no full version or sequel of or to "Random Clips.". Probable reasons for this could be the fact that it never gained very much views; the creators decided to discontinue the project, losing hope of ever gaining popularity in the MySpace video community. Either that or they were just plain lazy, or were never given the free time to make this into a reality.
