Before the 2010 game Mafia II was released to Xbox360, a beta was released in which people discovered folders containing scripts, textures and other files related to games. These files were then either taken from the game completely in the final version, or simply left dormant, but still existing in the files and possible to enable by skilled modders.

A week after the game's release a DLC was available for download. It cost 800MS points / $9.99. There was an outrage on the 2k forums about the games' lack of content – then the $10 DLC feuled the fire; a popular saying came about,"It will come out in DLC next week. 12.99".
