About
Y Esta Rosa? refers to an image macro derived from the Mexican tv series La Rosa de Guadalupe, which uses the white rose that appears in the series as a sarcastic meme to demonstrate that any miracle that occurs was the work of the famous white rose of the Virgin of Guadalupe.
Origin
La Rosa de Guadalupe[1] is a Mexican tv series that premiered on the Televisa channel on February 5th, 2008. The show focused on reenactments of social conflicts and life situations where the values of the Catholic religion and devotion to the Virgin of Guadalupe influence its solution. At the end of every episode, after the main character becomes aware of the errors in his conduct, a current of air flows around it, the white rose disappears and one of the characters pronounces a moral message to close the chapter. On January 10th, 2013, YouTube[2] user @EdgarVega151 posted part of an episode of the show that features the end credits (shown below), which garnered over 2.6 million views and 8,600 likes in a decade.
