Here we are, getting older all the time, and we still haven't had a great Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game on current-generation consoles. That may change this September with the release of a Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 remake on PC via the Epic Games Store, PS4 and Xbox One.

The surprise announcement came today with a trailer showcasing the first two games in the influential series' familiar maps in 4k and 60 FPS.

The remake is being handled by Vicarious Visions, who handled the well-received Crash Bandicoot remakes. As for the game's iconic soundtracks, game publisher Activision promises "many iconic and fan-favorite songs," but licensing issues may prevent a total recreation of the soundtrack.

The remake, set to release September 4th, is priced at $39.99. Preorders of the game will include a demo featuring the warehouse level from the first game.
