#BlueLivesMatter Hashtag Overrun With Blue Pop Culture Characters
Following in the footsteps of K-Pop stans spamming #whitelivesmatter with fan cams of their favorite idols, others have begun spamming #BlueLivesMatter, a hashtag usually meant to promote police forces, with blue pop culture characters to drown out those using the hashtag sincerely.
#BlueLivesMatter trended Wednesday alongside #whitelivesmatter and #whiteoutwednesday as people from all walks of life joined in to celebrate their favorite blue pop culture characters.

Not everyone was content just to use the hashtag for jokes, however. Some hijacked the hashtag to share pictures of medical workers in blue scrubs.

They were so grateful for the homemade fabric mask covers that were made and delivered to their hospital. Police had the face shields that should have been made available to healthcare workers on the front lines of #COVID19. #HealthcareHeroes #BlueLivesMatter pic.twitter.com/6wsXs6GmwL
