Bronze statues of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad have been unveiled in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in a ceremony attended by Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul and other actors from the show.

Life-size likenesses of Walter and Jesse, the unlikely duo of meth cooks who are the main characters in the acclaimed crime drama series Breaking Mad, now adorn the Albuquerque Convention Center, where they were unveiled on Friday.

The opening ceremony was attended by actors Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, who portray the iconic duo in the show, show directors and writers Thomas Schnauz and Peter Gold and other actors from Breaking Bad and its sequel Better Call Saul.

Teased earlier this month, the statues instantly spawned memes as Breaking Bad's online popularity hasn't dwindled one bit since it became a subject of a massive meme trend in 2020.

This Yo Mr. White, Someone's at the Door version definitely deserves if not an Emmy, then at least a Webby.

Albuquerque, the city where Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul mostly take place, enjoyed an influx of tourists in the past decade thanks to the popular show. "Over the course of fifteen years, two TV shows and one movie, Albuquerque has been wonderful to us," the series creator Vince Gilligan said. "I wanted to return the favor and give something back."
