Burger King Offering Free Whoppers To Bronx Residents Annoyed By "Joker Stairs"

The dance of freedom. The death bells. The flame-broiled beef. After months of annoying Bronx residents, living near the "Joker Stairs" finally pays off.

Burger King, perhaps capitalizing on Jaoquin Phoenix's best actor win at this year's Golden Globes, is now offering free Whoppers to Bronx locals annoyed by the influx of meme-tourism left in the wake of _Joker_'s massive success. Since the wide release of Joker in 2019, fans have flocked to the site of the film's most iconic scene for a chance to take a selfie at the same spot where the Joker danced.

"We know clowns can be annoying," states Burger King's ad for the promotion, which fittingly features the King doing his own dance of freedom on the infamous staircase.

The promotion, a partnership with Uber Eats, is apparently only for people who "live in the Bronx" and use the code "Kingstairs." No word if this includes Burger King's beef-less Impossible Whopper in honor of _Joker_'s extremely, very vegan star Joaquin Phoenix, but considering the ad nor promotion features anything specifically Joker-related, one would think this isn't part of Warner Bros. Oscar campaign for the film.

Again, this is only for people who live in the Bronx, a borough of New York, but if you don't live thee, at least you can enjoy this delightful commercial of the King doing his best Joker.
