Chris-Chan, who sparked controversy when leaked audio of them allegedly admitting to sexual intercourse with their medically demented elderly mother trended late last week, was arrested Sunday afternoon.

The filming of the arrest was done by Ethan Ralph, a notable figure in online culture for his involvement in GamerGate and subsequent actions. The arrest itself was peaceful, with Chris-Chan walking down the hallway of the hotel with authorities and then standing outside of a patrol car without any resistance.

The arrest itself has been noted by others for the several bizarre things that take place during it. For one, Chris-Chan identifies themself as Sonichu to the police, and audibly talks back to the crowd that gathered around to see the event unfold. While being detained by the police next to the patrol car, Chris-Chan tells the onlooking crowd that they are keeping their spirits up and that it's been a "stressful week" but they hope "things get better."

Online, people began making references to other memes that relate to the court of law, such as JCS Criminal Psychology and when EDP was also arrested for crimes of a sexual nature earlier this year.

The reasoning behind the arrest, which was related to reports of incest on Friday that swept the web, has stirred up a conversation into legal precedents and the likelihood of having to go before the Supreme Court because Chris-Chan identifies as a female. In Virginia, incest is not legally defined as being possible between a mother and daughter, which many are presuming that Chris-Chan will claim as part of Virginia's gender laws.

There are currently different opinions on if the matter applies at all or what level of the court would be needed to tackle this issue. All the same, 4chan managed to find the Virginia arrest website and noticed it had a comment section, adding fuel to the fire by commenting with swastikas and ASCII art of Hitler.

Chris Chan's case could end up in supreme courts due to his transgenderism, legally mother and daughter incest is not covered under the incest laws. If he is considered a woman under the law, he'll get away with it.
