YouTuber, Twitch streamer and esports team creator Cr1itkal issued a $20,000 challenge out to the internet for the first person to beat Halo 2 Legendary All Skulls On (LASO), also known as "Mythic," without dying a single time.

The gaming feat, which has been around since the first release of Halo 2 in 2004, was never officially confirmed to have been completed. This was something that Cr1tikal was determined to see change, which is why he issued the bounty on July 16th.

The challenge was something that many felt was impossible, yet only two weeks later, the impossible was proven to be possible, with Twitch streamer JerValiN completing the challenge with a 6-hour-and-30-minute run, earning him the title of "Halo 2 King" (and the $20,000 reward), according to several high profile gamers.

JerValiN's triumph over the challenge was caught by Cr1tikal while he was livestreaming, meaning his reaction to the moment was shared around social media for all to see, while others even took the achievement as inspiration for their own lives to be able to do other things that were considered "impossible."

The challenge itself also brought a resurgence of views into the Halo community on Twitch, leading to a notable uptick of eyes on the recently contentious franchise following the middling release of Halo Infinite.
