You'd be forgiven if you forgot that Donald Trump has been hawking NFTs since December 2022, as there are quite a few other things going on and NFTs have largely fallen out of favor in popular culture since their heyday due to the public's generally negative opinion of the "digital collectibles," most of which are now literally worthless.

However, the Republican Presidential candidate reminded the internet that he is selling NFTs yesterday when he posted a video advertising the fourth series of "Trump Cards." The video went viral on social media after leaving many viewers' jaws agape.

The video features several lines that struck many as surreal. While describing the cards featured in the collection, Trump says, "These cards show me dancing, and even me holding some Bitcoins."

He also twice dips into his "Many People Are Saying" rhetorical well, which critics have noted is the former President's go-to hedge when he says something he does not believe is true.

The first comes when he says that people who buy 15 Trump Cards – which, at $99 a pop, would run $1,485 – would receive a physical card with a piece of the suit he wore to his June 2024 debate with Joe Biden, an event that proved to be the catalyst for Biden ultimately dropping out of the election.

"People are calling it the knockout suit," Trump said. "I don’t know about that, but that’s what they’re calling it."

Later he added, "They call me the crypto president. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but a lot of people are saying that."

The clip left much of social media baffled, as many found the entire two-minute advertisement bizarre and low budget. Some also got the sense that Trump did not enjoy making the ad.

Buyers who shell out over $24,000 on Trump cards can also earn two tickets to dine with Trump in Florida. Trump promises, "We really have tremendous dinners with my collectors. We're gonna have a lot of fun together. We're gonna have a good time."
