In what has become an increasingly common statement over the past year, it has not been a good week for Elon Musk, as the billionaire has been hit with two separate lawsuits in the span of a few days.

The first comes from a man who says Musk baselessly slandered him on Twitter, (or "X," as Musk is rebranding it), and the second comes from Grimes, the mother of three of his children, over parental rights.

Yesterday, Huffington Post reported on a lawsuit filed by Benjamin Brody, a 22-year-old Jewish man who Musk accused of being a federal government agent involved in a neo-nazism group.

In June, two extremist right-wing groups, the Proud Boys and Rose City Nationalists, got into a violent spat while trying to protest a Portland LGBTQ+ event, leading to a video in which the Proud Boys unmasked an RCN member.

That man is still unidentified, but some conspiracy theorists believed the man resembled Brody, a UC Riverside graduate who was a political science major. On this basis, they pushed a conspiracy theory that Brody was part of a federal false flag operation orchestrated by the government.

These conspiracy theories caught the attention of Musk, who amplified their ideas idea in a June 27th tweet that said the man in the video was "a college student (who wants to join the govt)" and said it was a probable "false flag" situation.

As a result of the conspiracy theory, Brody claims he was doxxed and faced intense online harassment. At one point, he posted receipts of his debit card on the day of the viral video showing he was in California that day and not in Oregon to prove he was not the unmasked man in the video, but it was to no avail.

Brody is represented by Mark Bankston, who represented Sandy Hook victims and won $1.5 billion dollars in their defamation lawsuit against Alex Jones. Bankston laid out the full basis for the lawsuit in a lengthy Twitter thread yesterday.

Hours after The Huffington Post reported on Brody's lawsuit, The San Francisco Standard reported that Musk is also being sued by Grimes, the mother of three of his oddest-named children, to establish parental rights over their brood.

The lawsuit was filed on September 29th last week. An attorney who spoke to the publication suggested the petition filed by Grimes to establish parental rights usually precedes a lawsuit for child support, though that has not been filed yet.

Grimes raised concerns on September 6th when she publically tweeted to Musk's biographer, Walter Isaacson, that Musk had not let her see her son. This was the first suggestion to the world that the couple had had a hitherto unknown third child named "Techno Mechanicus," who was revealed days later.

Mark Bankston is seeking over a million dollars in damages on behalf of Brody. The details of Grimes' lawsuit have not been made known to the public.
