In a surprising turn of events for the upcoming Five Nights At Freddy's movie, perennial super-star character actor Matthew Lillard has been confirmed to be on the cast list, with the role currently unknown.

Lillard, best known for his characters in Scream and Scooby-Doo (Shaggy), has large fanbases in two different generations that are now meshing with a third — the Zoomers in love with FNAF. Even though his character is currently unknown, many are sure he's being called to play William Afton, known as the purple guy within the FNAF universe, as that appears to be the role best suited for him due to his age and build.

Fans are already running wild with this theory, posting their excitement at Lillard as Afton and photoshopping pictures of Lillard (or Shaggy) into FNAF screenshots to get used to the idea of seeing him in that universe.
