A few days after being leaked by fans, the Genshin Impact character Mika had a more formal introduction, having a moment with Jean in which they were reading off a parchment.

This new character, a cryo user, is noticeably shorter than Jean and other male characters in the game (such as Zhongli), and a notable portion of the fanbase for the game was quick to point that and other design choices out. For once, it seems as though the Genshin fanbase isn't actually happy with a new character reveal, with multiple social media posts and memes being made about his design, comparing him negatively to others.

One of the biggest comparisons made is between Mika and the Vocaloid character Len Kagamine, who also features blonde hair on a twink-like frame according to some of the fanbase. This was brought up by multiple different posts saying that Genshin is just copying Len's design for the game, making it an uninspired character design.
