Leaked footage sent to video game journalist Tom Henderson yesterday shows what appears a new horror game called OVERDOSE by famed game designer Hideo Kojima currently in development at Kojima Productions.

The footage, which was sent under the request of anonymity, reportedly shows a character in a blue dress, played by actress Margaret Qualley, walking through dark corridors with a flashlight in her hands. The footage ends in a jumpscare, with the words "GAMEOVER," followed by the signature "A Hideo Kojima Game" and then “OVERDOSE” appearing on screen.

The game is shown in third-person but, according to the report, may be able to be played in first-person too.

Henderson later wrote that Kojima Productions reached out to Try Hard Guides, where the report was published, with a request to remove it.

Also on Tuesday, leaker and video game analyst @eXtas1stv posted what appears to be a screenshot of the game's logo from the same footage, writing that it's "100% real" before deleting his tweet.

Hideo Kojima and Margaret Qualley have already collaborated on one project in the past, as the actress played the character Mama in Kojima's 2019 game Death Stranding.

With Kojima being revered akin to a god by many players, the report expectedly generated a lot of excitement and buzz on social media as users speculated how much of it they could trust and when the official announcement may arrive.
