In an interview with the New York Times on Wednesday, Kim Kardashian said she'd "eat poop every single day" if it made her look younger. The metaphor proved to be both a memeable moment and an interesting look into the rationalizations of Kim K's mind.
The interview's main focus was on Kardashian's new skincare line, reportedly coming out towards the end of the summer. However, within the first paragraph of the interview, she's quoted saying, "I’ll try anything … If you told me that I literally had to eat poop every single day and I would look younger, I might. Meant to be a powerful analogy, the quote was not received the way Kardashian most likely intended. Once tweeted about by outlets like PopCrave, the New York Post and Fox News, Pete Davidson's lover became associated with the violent imagery.

Despite the funny reactions using Kanye memes and Dubai Porta Potty references, the other common reaction to Kardashian's quote was that of concern with the state of beauty standards in American pop culture.
The idea of aging or growing old is scary, at least to a number of people, but to many, this quote from Kardashian portrayed the extreme of this fear and how far some are willing to go to slow the wheels of time.
