Benny Johnson, a former BuzzFeed writer fired for plagiarism in 2014 who has rebranded himself into a self-styled conservative meme provocateur, crowed that he successfully triggered a lib after a violent protestor interrupted his speech on memes at the University of Iowa Tuesday by kicking over his projector.

After the man kicked over Johnson's projector, he cried "racist ass bitch" before later being arrested. His political affiliations are unknown, but the viral video has since made the rounds on Twitter and other sites in recent days.

Johnson was showing a meme of Kamala Harris welcoming a bus of Mexican migrants, made by conservative memers @defranzor and @NautPuso, in the wake of Texas governor Greg Abbot sending a bus of migrants to Harris' home late last week.

Johnson has made proving "The Left Can't Meme" one of his staple talking points in recent years, though some critics say his antics have proved the opposite thus far. Still, he walked out of Tuesday's incident proclaiming about how he'd triggered the attacker while hurling a load of Reddit-y insults his way.

"During our presentation we played a harmless meme of Kamala Harris welcoming a bus full of migrants, set to tasteful mariachi music," Johnson tweeted. "That is when a low-T leftist strung-out on pure soy snapped into a violent rage. I watched dispassionately as the libs last drop of testosterone evaporated in an unprovoked kick-attack on an innocent projector.

Social media's reaction was largely split down ideological lines, as conservatives bemoaned the supposed example of "violent democrats" while some on the left appreciated the man's action. Others wondered if it was perhaps a staged altercation orchestrated by Johnson and Turning Point USA, though this seems unlikely, as an arrest logged by the University of Iowa police matches the date and actions shown in the video.

Johnson is continuing his speaking tour, boasting about the packed rooms he is speaking to, though the "projector attack" video and several others he has posted from his tour show several empty seats.
