We have some bad news…. Social media star Nathan Apodaca has COVID-19.
Here's what we know: https://t.co/YdUztn6REP— Los Angeles Times (@latimes) December 15, 2020
A report from the Los Angeles Times pointed out that Apodaca's life has changed dramatically since going viral last summer, and has been busy traveling to various places for new projects. One of those projects includes getting engaged: Apodaca was in Las Vegas last month proposing to his girlfriend, Estela Chavez. Chavez has also fallen ill with the coronavirus.
Apodaca was living in a trailer without electricity or running water before going viral. He filmed his now-famous TikTok after his car battery died on his way to work at a potato warehouse. His story made him a social media darling, and he received over $15,000 in donations and a truck from Ocean Spray, the cranberry juice he repped in his video.
Despite the diagnosis, Apodaca seems to be taking things in tride. He posted a TikTok showing himself dancing to "Dazed" by Matt Ox captioned, "An the show must go on."
