Friday afternoon, former GOP presidential candidate and libertarian icon Ron Paul has been hospitalized after appearing to suffer a medical emergency in the middle of a livestream on the "Liberty Report" YouTube channel.
According to Fox News reporter Chad Pergram, the 85-year-old was being held in hospital care for "'precautionary' reasons."

Shortly after the incident occurred, the ZeroHedge Janitor YouTube channel uploaded video of the moment Paul becomes incoherent and slurring his words.
On Twitter, Ron Paul began trending in the United States, with many speculating that the former congressman appeared to be suffering from a stroke.
It appears Ron Paul may have just suffered a stroke. Pray for him and his family.

Hours after the incident occurred, the verified @RonPaul Twitter feed posted a photograph of Paul giving a thumbs-up from his hospital bed, along with a message indicating that he is "doing fine."
