A grave, woke sin is occurring at the 2024 Summer Paris Olympics, according to some online, and it has nothing to do with the decadent opening ceremony (although that's drummed up a fair amount of controversy as well).

Instead, the real sin is that some female beach volleyball players are wearing yoga pants instead of bikini bottoms.

Jim Stancil's struggles

Women's volleyball has tended to be an Olympic sport some men "watch for the plot," so to speak, as the sport is traditionally played in tiny bikinis, and many men online have been fairly open about "enjoying" the sport for its views of the athlete's backsides.

However, during the opening days of this year's Olympic games, the weather in Paris was wet, overcast and chilly, and women's teams competed in yoga pants.

This does not seem to be a uniform rule, as women's teams have worn a variety of uniforms in the first few days of the Olympics so far. On subsequent days of the competition, with improved weather, some teams, including the U.S. women's team, competed in bikinis while Egypt's women competed in a hijab and full-body coverage.

Apparently, some men online were unaware that the Olympics was allowing women to wear pants to compete in chilly temperatures, and several voiced that it must be the work of dastardly "wokeness" or "libs."

This guy.... Heresy The libs

Others were more enthused that the female beach volleyball athletes were allowed to compete in whatever clothing felt comfortable to them, as the bikini uniforms have long been controversial for the precise reasons outlined when they weren't on television for one day of beach volleyball competition.

Applause for the Olympics
