About
Do You Remember When We Were All at School? and We Used To Throw Glue Sticks at the Ceiling refer to a verse in a poem written and recited by British poet Sam Browne in a viral video he posted on TikTok (@sambrownepoetry) and Instagram (@sambrownex) in early 2025. The poem, titled "Silly Billy," deals with the themes of "misogyny and the social responsibilities of men." A central part is the visual of throwing glue sticks at the ceiling in school and harassing a school teacher named Miss Lovett. The video was reposted across social media heading into mid-2025, with memes remixing the clip in brainrot edits appearing en masse on TikTok in June 2025. The video's audio was lip dubbed and used by creators in other memetic ways. The poem also became a copypasta sometimes spammed in comment sections on TikTok.

Copypasta
Do you remember when we were all at school,
And we were all silly,
And we used to throw glue sticks at the ceiling,
'Cause we wanted to,
And what the fuck was she gonna do.
Miss Lovett, there's 30 of us and one of you
But glue stops sticking,
Lovett's tears had to dry.
I don't think we were malicious, no
Just a bit fucked up inside…
