TikToker Reveals Why McDonald's Ice Cream Machine Is Always Broke: It's Because It's Disgusting

The ice cream machine at McDonald's is one of memedom's greatest enemies. Filled with a delicious confection that it's rarely able to dole out, the machine inspired thousands of memes over the last decade or so. Still, while there have been numerous reasons for why the ice cream machine is broken, even a way to track the ones that aren't, it's rare to get the see the thing in its fractured state.

In a video by TikToker @meg.morgan4, the TikToker takes followers through the process of cleaning the machine. Using text-to-speech, they narrate scrapping M&Ms off the sides of the machine. The whole time, the narration vents about the difficulty of cleaning the machine.

"Why do people order ice cream?" the narration says. "Why am I still working here?"

The video is clear: cleaning this stuff is hard work. Candy caked on the edges of the machine, spoons sitting in the ice cream mix and a poor worker left to clean it before it inevitably breaks again.

So next time you hear that the ice machine broke, give the McDonald's employee a hearty "Understandable, Have a nice day."
