Trisha Paytas Accused Of Allegedly Riding In The Car With Her Newborn Baby 'Malibu Barbie's' Car Seat Unbuckled
Trisha Paytas is being accused of allegedly letting her month-old baby, Malibu Barbie Paytas, ride in the car completely unbuckled after posting a video to TikTok that seemingly shows the baby in her car seat in a moving vehicle without any buckles.
The roughly 30-second-long video was posted to TikTok on Sunday. In the clip, consisting of a single shot of Malibu sitting in a car seat, an on-screen caption reads, "how a 1 month old looks at the world," followed by captions reading, "Everything is new and exciting," "she's so curious" and "There's no judgements."
In the top-left corner of the video, what some have speculated to be the corner of a car window can purportedly be seen. The car appears to be in motion as light flickers on Malibu and scenery zooms by outside of the supposed window.

The video has wracked up over 540,000 views since it was posted, however, the top comments are anything but positive. The majority of the comment section is filled with concerned viewers accusing Paytas of not buckling Malibu into the car seat.
One comment with over 3,000 likes reads, "She’s curious why she isn’t buckled in." Another with over 3,100 likes reads, "They gonna drag you for this one 😭 you gotta keep her strapped mama."
The accusations seeped outside of TikTok when a Twitter user shared the clip, writing, "Trisha riding in the car with Malibu just fully unbuckled." Adam McIntyre, a YouTuber with a popular "tea" channel, retweeted the video, sarcastically writing, "But it’s okay cuz she’s more focused on filming the TikTok than protecting her child (in any way)," garnering over 800 likes in two days.
Talk of the video has been increasing steadily since, with one Twitter user calling not buckling Malibu into the car seat the "stupidest thing [Trisha's] ever done."

WHY ARE WE NOT HOLDING TRISHA PAYTAS ACCOUNTABLE FOR NOT STRAPPING HER NEWBORN IN HER CAR SEAT??? literally endangering her baby’s life and doing something illegal. “But she’s happy and being a mother is what she’s always wanted so who cares” 👍😬👍 pic.twitter.com/NXzhLhW1S0

No this is her car seat, you can see how fast the shadows are moving and everything they go over a bump Trisha also moves. No way it's a stroller

Some people are defending Trisha by saying the car seat is a "travel system" combo, meaning it's a car seat that doubles as a stroller, suggesting she's taking Malibu for a walk rather than a drive. Others are refuting this claim by pointing out the alleged window in the upper-left corner and the way the light comes in on Malibu. Some are also saying the baby should be strapped in regardless of whether she's walking the baby in the stroller or riding with her in the car seat.
The travel system is purportedly a Century Stroll, which has a visible buckle that straps across the baby's torso. Paytas actually posted an unboxing video of the same travel system back in September, showcasing how it works as both a car seat and stroller.
At the time of writing, Paytas has not responded to the accusations.
