The Shooting of Daunte Wright in Minnesota, just miles from where George Floyd died, has led to another massive wave of protests in Minneapolis, a familiar scene after last summer's months of protests. Apparently this includes the memes from last summer too.

Last night, CNN interviewed a protestor, who took the opportunity to reference one of the strangest memes to come out of the protests: Soup for my family.

The protestor, @TigerWorku on Twitter, was making a clear reference to a bizarre Donald Trump tangent that the former President gave to the National Association of Police Organizations where he said protestors were throwing cans of soup at police organizations, because cans of soup were easier to throw than bricks, and had the added bonus of plausible deniability because when asked if the soup cans were weapons, the protestors could just say "no this is soup for my family."

The bizarre tangent led to a wave of jokes and very good TikToks before being swept away by the passage of time, at least until @TigerWorku revived it on national television with a literal wink. One of the first things people noticed about the video was that @TigerWorku is quite a handsome fellow.

It's easy to see why Twitter users are attracted to the guy. He has good looks, easy charisma and clear knowledge of the online world. Here's hoping he doesn't milkshake duck. It's nice to have a main character who doesn't stink every once in a while.
