There's no shortage of chill lo-fi beats to study/relax to online. Youtube has its fill with seemingly endless playlists of near-ambient drum and bass tracks to tune out while you work. But apparently, there's room on the web for one more Study Girl.
Last week, Will Smith -- yes, that Will Smith -- launched his own "chill beats to quarantine to" playlist to vibe with. The playlist comes complete with an illustration of young Will wearing a Bel-Air hoodie bopping his head next to a sleeping cat.
More than 3.3 million people have already vibed along with Will, whose video features things like changes in daylight and an actual ending. Smith's video runs about an hour and a half, compared to ChilledCow's endless stream of "lofi hip hop beats to relax/study to."
Will this lead to a new trend of celebrity-owned radio stations of the aforementioned beats? Does anyone want to see a Nicolas Cage study girl variation? I think the answer to the latter is yes--for the love of God, yes.
