Imprisoned Atlanta rapper Young Thug has seemingly gotten his phone back, sending tweets at Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps from behind bars.

Thugger's tweet relayed a question from his "roommate" to Phelps, wondering if he could swim 100 miles from the middle of the ocean back to shore. The tweet comes four months after Gunna and Thug's R.I.C.O. Charges that indicted the two for alleged gang crimes.

The tweet, however, was one of five uploaded by Thug in late August, being his first string of social media posts since imprisonment. Of course, many joked thereafter about how he was supposed to be in jail, saying humorous statements like, "They let you have phones in there?," among others.

As the tweet accumulated over 140,000 likes in just over a day, Phelps apparently saw it and responded in a quote retweet, telling Thugger that he thinks he could complete the 100-mile challenge.

The odd Twitter collab inspired a flurry of reactions, some believing that Thugger wanted to escape prison with Phelps' help. Whether merely in jest or a serious inquiry, the event would potentially save the "Pushin' P" duo from their seemingly inevitable incarcerated futures, which many fans are loathing.
