If you've ever wanted to cruise the streets of Yharnam in ye olde motor vehicle, you will soon get your chance. Lilith Walther, maker of the PS1 Bloodborne Demake, has announced they're working on Bloodborne Kart, which promises to be a take on Mario Kart set in the grimy Victorian hellhole of Yharnam.

Walther's PS1 demake of Bloodborne proved to be a surprisingly solid experience for the work of one developer. They promised Bloodborne Kart would come out "when it's ready." While no official release date has been announced, it's worth noting the demake of Bloodborne took about 13 months.

Walther also started a development thread to update players on the progress of the project. They write that they believe every racer will be locked to their exclusive kart, but the "hunter can ride any of them."

The idea right now is that every racer will be locked to their own exclusive kart, but the hunter can ride any of them. I don't have the time to make (8 karts + 8 racers =) 64 anim sets without crunching / making development time super long. (8 is just a guestimate number btw!)

The announcement generated enthusiasm for Bloodborne fans on Twitter, who are surely looking forward to hitting the first-place racer with the Bloodborne equivalent of a Blue Shell (probably Frenzy).

The announcement comes around the seventh anniversary of one of FromSoftware's most beloved titles, and while Bloodborne may not be playable on PC, Bloodborne Kart surely will be.
