In addition to the borders of Sombra's expansion, I took the liberty of including the possible positions and numbers of each army. First the Crystal Army. With 16 divisions and 10000 ponies in each division Sombra's army stands at 160,000 strong. This is not including his home army and any POW's turned conscripts. Next we have The EUP Guard. At 20 divisions Celestia's force stands at 200000 strong. The EUP Guard is divided up into three branches. The Earth Corps made up of 13 divisions, the Air Corps made up of 5 divisions and then the Guards Corps consisting of 2 divisions. (This number is due to change with 5000 ponies joining every month.) Next we have the Griffin Militia. At 2 recorded divisions their force stands at 20,000 strong. last but certainly not least are the Yaks, At 1000 warriors they stand ready to fight any enemy at any given time

I think that's what was sort of implied by Applejack though. That, with Celestia, they were doing a good enough job against him, but it was still a war. People were still getting hurt (mostly Rainbow Dash it seemed.) and it was a drain on resources.

And I can only imagine Celestia's having her troops pull their punches a bit, since they're all innocent ponies that Sombra's controlling. (Otherwise, she could probably just glass the entire region herself.)
