Though this is also a good time to bring up something that's been on my mind for the last 24 hours or so. There were five unknown character slots found in Smash 4's data files a while back, but we've only seen three. That just makes me wonder if Sakurai is pulling another Roy+Ryu on us and saving them for the next update.

I know Sakurai said there would be no more new characters after Corrin & Bayonetta, but that can simply mean no more newcomers. I'm not making any predictions or even getting my hopes up, but could this mean that two veterans will make a surprise return? Specifically Wolf & Snake? I say these two because they're really the only possibilities here. ICs aren't coming back due to 3DS limitations. Toon Link is an evolution of Young Link. Pokémon Trainer is a no-go for two reasons: transforming characters are a thing of the past, and Charizard would have to be tied back into his old trio. And Pichu sure as hell isn't making it back in. So that leaves Wolf & Snake as the only veteran DLC options.

Again, not making any predictions or getting my hopes up, but I won't rule this out as a possibility, either.
