-l When John Stewart was on the Daily Show, you could tell that his aim was to use comedy to cut through the B.S. and that he personally gave a s--- about the issues and stories he presented. With Trevor Noah, who really falls flat on his commentary of American politics, I get the feeling that he is more about using (more obvious) b------- for the sake of a laugh. I remember that John wasn't afraid to address topics that might not get a laugh. The difference in their styles is pretty apparent in the election coverage. Plus take into account that their cynicism has totally different roots.
