Maybe if he hadn't setup such a dumbass situation for the first two:

God: Okay, I'm making you both immortal so you can take care of all my toys while I'm away partying with angels, but don't eat from the tree that makes you as smart as me and the other angels, or you might eat from the second tree that lets you make yourselves immortal and do whatever you want.

Adam and Eve: K

Satan: Hey wait what are you guys stupid. Just eat from the tree so you can be smart and live on your own terms, he just fucking told you!

God: Fuck why didn't I warn them not to listen to Satan.

And then God promptly banished them and makes them mortal, and they have two idiot sons and a bunch of other inbred kids who lead to a huge society of dumbasses who be evil because they're smart enough to screw each other, but not usually smart enough to realize its smarter to work together.
