Pokémon - This is nearing close to like, Kirby amounts of dark

For once they aren't recycling old Dex entries for pre-existing Pokemon and instead making some new ones, and these ALSO are turning out dark. Highlights in the early game alone include Metapod not moving out of fear of accidentally breaking its shell thus causing its organs spill out, and Drifloon apparently being pop-able with, and I quote, a screaming sound as its soul flies out.

Just doing away with all that pesky subtext and admitting that Pokemon are empowered animals that eat each other.
