Disclaimer: I'm not of the position that one is inherantly better than the other based on their political views, nor do I think "because he said it that makes it okay that our guy says it".
I do however believe that it is not surprising that these two individuals, who were the victims of pedastry at a young age, are not entirely rational in their approach to this topic years latter. Again, it doesn't make it right though.
