In all honesty Pearl is probably a good lyricist or composer, but she was cursed with a voice that doesn't sing well. Its a problem that a lot of good song writers have had over the years, yet several of them manage to become popular if they can ether talk a good song, or they can find a partner that can sing.

Looking at Off The Hook's Splatfest performance I would say that Pearl managed to do both.
