See, this is my exact problem with this. By throwing a big tantrum in a kids game all you're doing is making yourself look like fool.

And about the latter: they did not overstay their welcome. Not a single furry post saying something like "but it's OK to be a furry, accept us!" was made. They came, they shitposted a bit, some people were annoyed and, about a week or less later, they were like "welp lol that was fun, see ya" and finger-gunned their way out of the comments without any objections, since they were not pushing any agenda or had any pseudo-political intention.

None of this can be said of the LGBT+ comments, who instead did exactly what you described on the first paragraph, thus making their case much worse in contrast. The former was annoying at worst; the latter can actually alienate a portion of the fanbase and, as shown by this image, put to shame the good, sensible silent majority of the LGBT community.
