It's still a good cartoon. Aside from Kaos, Spyro gets the most amount of focus of all the characters in Skylanders Academy, and Season 2 has a reoccurring arc that revolves around him. The show actually respects him as an important character more than the games do.
And, well, he doesn't look like a trainwreck in this show. Not like
