It would be almost worth it all to watch all of the republicans who kissed his ass suddenly have to invent reasons why suddenly things he did over the previous 4 years were suddenly inexcusable, and for democrats to do the same in reverse.

I think you're missing the fact that donald would still have run in the primaries and there's literally no way in hell the delegates would ever let him be the democratic candidate; the dilemma of "vote donald or vote republican" would never even get a chance to see the light of day.
