I think the real problem isn't the artstyle, but the seeming "Teen Titans Go-ification" (that works, right?) of Thundercats. Sure, the style isn't great, but it's cheap and money doesn't grow on trees. I don't even have a great connection to Thundercats to think it's destroying my child-hood or whatever people are saying. I just think they should make a new IP instead of taking an old one and changing it entirely to fit what they want purely for brand recognition. If they want to make a children's comedy show, that's fine. If they want to use the Thundercats archetypes to poke fun at more serious works, that's also fine. But as soon as you put the Thundercats label on it, you set expectations in a certain way, and to not deliver on that in anyway is shitty.
