That said they had absurdly weird priorities when deciding what to keep and what to take out of the last movie. I don't blame the actors in the slightest, they clearly gave it their all… but Jesus the stuff you find out is cut for no apparent reason despite there being literally pointless scenes that amount to nothing all over the place.

I'm going to be honest: I hate the characters, but I don't hate the actors. They just got hired to play a role for a movie with a director that doesn't know what they're doing. Being cast in a modern Star Wars movie is like being cast in a Michael Bay film, even if you try to give a good performance it's going to get butchered because of how inept the director is. What Disney should do is hire a competent director to try and rebuild the brand at this point.
