While we may not have certain highly-requested characters, we've gotten some real notable popular choices, including Simon-freakin'-Belmont, someone who seemed unlikely given Konami's bad rep in recent years which also made Snake's return quite unlikely, yet the madman actually went out of his way to get popular, memorable characters from a shit-covered company into the game.

Sakurai is truly a man of legend. And he was a very young adult when he made the first Kirby game. Man has quite the legacy that will live on for the ages.

The hype and demands for K. Rool and Ridley alone were so big that they probably surpass that of all the other characters below combined, specially Ridley's, having Sakurai himself's hype and demand.
