On the one hand, I’m kinda bummed. I was hoping we would be getting Metroid Prime 4 by at least 2019, but we might not be getting it until 2020 or beyond.
But on the other, I’m glad Nintendo were honest with us. It takes balls to admit to the fanbase that development is rocky and are still committed to it despite the difficulty. Compare it to EA who base all their business decisions on “Is it a billion dollar idea?”, who cancelled a Star Wars open world game because it wasn’t monetisable and Nintendo once again shows the industry how you do it. They were around much earlier than these greedy companies and they’ll be around long after they’re dead and buried.
