I see your statement and raise you this:

Honestly Bayonetta, Snake and even Joker are proof that Master Chief and Doomguy would have no issues getting into Smash.

Also would have thought the Belmonts would have been in the "These games were created before the ESRB existed", because some of the Castlevania games were before the ESRB existed.
