The character was introduced in October 2023 but received an ironic fandom on TikTok, specifically the Spanish-speaking community, in March 2024, sparking edits, parodies and other memes adding lore to the random curse.

On October 5th, 2023, the second season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime aired the 11th episode on TV. For example, on February 28th, 2024, TikTok[3] user @allner_0 posted a fan edit video dealing more lore about "Yusepe" (shown below, left), which amassed more than 889,000 plays and 135,000 likes in a month.

On March 26th, TikTok[4] user @ricklogan004 posted a fan edit of the random curse paired with Porta's song "La bella y la bestia" (shown below, right), which amassed roughly 360 plays and 18 likes in two days.
