Psychology is applied Biology
Biology is applied Chemistry
Chemistry is applied Physics
Physics is applied Mathematics

I prefer to think of math as a flour that you can make a lot of potentially neat things with. Physics is bread. It's a basic underpinning of a lot of other stuff but traces back to the more basic math.
